Xenon (HID, High Intensity Discharge) (Xenon)

Xenon (HID, i.e., high-intensity discharge) is a type of gas-discharge lamp where light is produced not by a heated filament, but by an electric arc. Inside the bulb, there is a gas mixture based on xenon. The arc occurs between two electrodes located at the edges of the lamp, under the influence of high voltage.

In terms of the emission spectrum, xenon is close to natural daylight, which cannot be said about halogen lamps, and it is noticeably brighter than them. Due to the absence of an incandescent filament, xenon headlights last longer and are more resistant to vibrations.
