Buick Regal: prices and specifications

1 generations Country of origin: United States

Buick Regal is one of the brand's oldest models: its first generation appeared in 1973. Production of the mid-size sedan continued more or less steadily until 2004 (during which time production moved from the US to China), after which there was a five-year hiatus. The model was revived in 2009, premiering at the Detroit Auto Show. The fifth generation is based on the Opel Insignia sedan (Epsilon II platform). The car differs from its European counterpart only in exterior and interior design.

The car is offered with three gasoline engines: 1.6 (only for the Chinese market), 2.4, and 2.0 (turbo). They are paired exclusively with six-speed transmissions — a manual, as well as two automatics from Aisin and General Motors.
