Ukrainian engineers continue to introduce their latest development to the international audience — the KrAZ-MPV Shrek One armored vehicle. At the end of May, the vehicle was presented at an exhibition in Kazakhstan, and in June it is planned to be demonstrated at an event in France.

Currently, the first purchase requests have already been received, mainly from customers from eastern states. Domestic military personnel can only count on such equipment in the future, but there is hope that the country's leadership will pay attention to the need to equip the army with such vehicles.

The protective characteristics of the vehicle correspond to ballistic resistance class B6+. The following elements protect the vehicle from small arms fire, grenade fragments, shells, and weapons of mass destruction:

- a monolithic load-bearing body with additional reinforced armor plates;

- double doors;

- double side panels;

- a 25-millimeter blast-resistant layer in the space between the doors and walls;

- a three-layer wedge-shaped bottom;

- mine protection withstands the detonation of 2 TM57 mines (14 kg of TNT) under any wheel or 1 TM57 mine (7 kg of TNT) directly under the bottom

The total weight of this KrAZ vehicle is 16,000 kg. The cabin accommodates 2 drivers and 3 operators. Vertical armor panels and bulletproof glass correspond to level 3A according to NATO standards (STANAG 4569). The blast-resistant material used even exceeds the requirements of NATO standard STANAG 4569 level 2 in its properties.
