The recall program will primarily affect cars sold on the Japanese market. Among them are models such as Allex, Alphard, Ipsum, Opa, Noah, and Voxy. The list also includes Corolla and Yaris produced from 2000 to 2004.

In total, about two million vehicles are planned to be recalled worldwide: 648 thousand in Japan, 850 thousand in North America, and 525 thousand in Europe.

The reason was excessive pressure, due to which the airbag may rupture and harm people in the cabin. In addition, there is a possibility of it catching fire.
