The authorities of Saudi Arabia promptly responded to the possibility of a shortage of oil and motor fuel that could arise in Europe and Ukraine.

Thus, already today, May 12, the head of the kingdom's oil ministry, Ali Al-Naimi, announced that the country is ready to compensate for a potential deficit if Moscow reduces exports of "black gold." He noted that Saudi Arabia is ready to cover any possible supply disruptions. At the same time, commenting on the cost of a barrel and the events in Ukraine, Al-Naimi emphasized that the mark of one hundred dollars is acceptable for all market participants — both buyers and sellers, and oil companies.
